Ozark High School
This project for the Ozark R-VI School District is valued at $18.5 million and has an estimated completion date of fall 2003. Marshall-Waters-Woody Associates is the project architect, and contractor bidding has not yet taken place.
The new high school facility for Ozark is to be constructed on a 50-acre site north of the existing school. The 247,000-square-foot building includes a 750-seat auditorium, two gymnasiums, learning resource center, technology and vocational classroom, nine computer classrooms and parking for 650 cars.
The primarily one-story building has a three-story classroom wing flanking its east boundary. The exterior is face brick with a combination of metal roofing and single-ply roofing. Neutral-color concrete masonry units are complemented by bright glazed units and accent ceiling paint and floor tiles on the interior.
