Marshall-Waters-Woody Associates Inc. is the architect for a new shopping center in Fort Leonard Wood for Army & Air Force Exchange Service of Dallas. J.S. Smith Consulting Engineers of Joplin is the structural engineer. McCoy & Howard Consulting Engineers of Mt. Vernon, Ill., is the mechanical engineer, and Anderson Engineering of Springfield is the civil engineer. The estimated cost is $11 million to $13 million, with completion scheduled for May. Hogan Construction Inc. of Rolla is the general contractor for the 150,000-square-foot mall, which will accommodate approximately 27 vendors and a food court with seven food vendors. There also will be a bank branch and an outdoor garden sales area. Also included is approximately 72,000 square feet of sales floor inside the Post Exchange with required support facilities. The exterior is dark brick with contrasting pre-cast concrete elements at the entries and along the canopy fascia. The parking lots will accommodate approximately 900 vehicles.
