A sealed copy of Super Mario Bros. 3 sold for $156,000 at auction.
That makes it the most-expensive game ever sold. The previous record was held by Super Mario Bros., a copy of which sold for $114,000 in July.
Heritage Auctions officials said the Mario Bros. 3 game was a rare copy of the 1990 title.
