'Manly' jobs slow to recover after recession

Women have regained all the jobs they lost during the financial crisis, but men are still lagging behind, according to a CNNMoney report.

Men, who lost 6 million jobs during the economic downturn, have gained only about 70 percent of them back, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

CNNMoney reports men lost more jobs than women to begin with, and two male-dominated industries, construction and manufacturing, are slow to recover. Sectors more populated with women, such as education, leisure, hospitality and health care, have been growing more rapidly, according to the report.
