Man charged in shooting of police officers in Ferguson

A 20-year-old man is facing five felony charges in the shooting of two police officers early last Thursday morning outside the Ferguson Police Department.

Jeffrey Williams, 20, of north St. Louis County, was charged yesterday with two counts of first degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and shooting a firearm from a motor vehicle, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

The officers - one from St. Louis County and the other from Webster Groves - were treated at an area hospital and released.
