A malware attack targeted Tribune Publishing Co., owner of the Chicago Tribune and the New York Daily News, over the weekend.
The printing operations of the Los Angeles Times also were hit. The publication's production facility also publishes the West Coast editions of The New York Times
"A disruption to our print production systems caused delays in the delivery of some of our newspapers Saturday," a Tribune spokesperson said. "This issue has affected the timeliness and in some cases the completeness of our printed newspapers. Our websites and mobile applications, however, have not been impacted. There is no evidence that customer credit card information or personally identifiable information has been compromised."
