Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken an ownership stake in the city's professional baseball team.
Mahomes made an undisclosed investment in the Kansas City Royals and joined its ownership group led by John Sherman, founder of Inergy LP.
Mahomes earlier this month signed a deal with the Chiefs that could be worth up to $503 million and keep him on the team through the 2031 season.
