Macy’s Inc. plans to hire 80,000 workers for the holidays, short of the 83,000 it brought on last year.
The company is betting bigger on its e-commerce platform. It's hiring 18,000 workers to support online business, up by 3,000 from last year.
Macy’s posted revenue of $10.9 billion in the first half of the year, a decrease from $11.6 billion in the first half of 2016.
