Macy's falls short of earnings projections

Macy's delivered quarterly earnings and revenue that fell short of analysts' expectations on Wednesday.

The company reported second-quarter earnings of 64 cents a share, down from 80 cents a share last year and below analysts' projections of 76 cents a share, according to CNBC.

Revenue dropped to $6.1 billion from $6.3 billion last year. Analysts expected revenue of $6.2 billion for the quarter.
