Macy's earnings top estimates

Macy's reported Thursday fiscal second-quarter sales and earnings that topped analysts' expectations.

Earnings, excluding charges, were 54 cents per share on revenue of $5.9 billion.

Analysts had expected earnings of 45 cents per share on $5.8 billion in revenue.
