Mackenzie Scott donates $1M to KC nonprofit

Billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott is donating $1 million to a Kansas City nonprofit.

Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City plans to use the funds to establish 3DE by Junior Achievement, an education model involving the mentorship of local business leaders.

Northeast High School of Kansas City Public Schools and Olathe East High School of Olathe Public Schools in Kansas will be the first to try the new education model.
