MacCheesy, a Joplin macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese sandwich shop in business since 2017, is eyeing the Queen City.
The company announced on Facebook yesterday that a restaurant in Springfield is "coming soon."
"We can't wait to serve you our cheesy goodness," the post reads.
The post does not give details about the planned location and opening date. Company officials could not be reached for comment by deadline. It’s also unclear if the restaurant would be corporate- or franchise-owned. The company late last year announced plans to franchise the concept.
On Facebook, MacCheesy has more than 21,000 likes and nearly 22,000 followers. The sole Joplin store opened in late 2017 at 2202 S. Rangeline Road, Ste. B. Sherif Magd is the creator of the concept, according to reporting by the Joplin Globe.
