Lyft to allow users to make charitable donations

Ride-hailing services Lyft plans to launch a new program dubbed Round Up & Donate in the coming weeks.

The program will allow users to round up their fare to the nearest dollar. The extra portion will go to a charity.

A spokesperson for Lyft said users will be able to pick a charity from a provided list in the app. The company also is exploring a voting system to add other charities.
