Luxury golf complex planned near Bass Pro in Fla.

Springfield-based destination retailer Bass Pro Shops is getting a shot in the arm for its store in the works near Tampa, Fla. - in the form of a massive golf entertainment complex just across the way.

The Tampa Tribune reports Texas-based luxury driving range chain TopGolf is building a complex with three stories of driving range bays, two full-size restaurants, a kid's play area and a rooftop nightclub.

Bass Pro's Outdoor World in Brandon, near Tampa, is scheduled to open in 2014 along Interstate 75. Construction on the golf complex should start as early as the first quarter of next year.
