Lumber Liquidators loss widens, sales tumble

Lumber Liquidators' net loss quadrupled in the first quarter after regulators revealed certain types of laminate flooring previously sold by the company had a greater cancer risk than once thought.

The company net loss was $32.4 million, down from a loss of $7.8 million a year earlier.

Same-store sales at locations open at least a year fell 13.9 percent.
