Missouri Lt. Gov. Joe Maxwell, who serves as an advocate for the state's elderly citizens and a member of the Missouri Housing Development Com-mission, Jan. 18 voted with the commission in its approval of $7,776,306 for seven senior-housing projects in Mis-souri.
"As Missouri's official advocate for the elderly, I am extremely pleased to help ensure our senior citizens have save, affordable housing in the least restrictive environment," Maxwell said. "These building projects are desperately needed to give seniors the opportunity to age in place."
Work on the projects is slated to begin soon.
