Lower Mississippi River reopened after oil spill

The Coast Guard reopened the lower Mississippi River west of New Orleans to commercial traffic Monday after a weekend oil spill from a tank barge.

On Saturday, about 31,500 gallons of light crude oil spilled from a tank barge as it collided with a tow vessel.

No injuries were reported, and no wildlife has been noted as harmed by the oil spill, according to the Wall Street Journal.
