Low wage, health activists prepare McDonald's attack

Maybe it’s because of the planned protests over low wages versus extravagant CEO pay. Maybe it’s because so many franchise owners are upset with corporate management. Or maybe this started when the 9-year-old commandeered the mic at last year’s shareholders meeting and demanded that McDonald’s stop “tricking” kids into eating its food.
 
Whatever its reasons, the fast-food conglomerate has disinvited the media to attend its annual shareholders meeting Thursday. Instead, reporters are invited to tune in to a web cast of the meeting.
 
CNNMoney is reporting that the meeting could become quite sporty; activists, fast-food workers, health advocates and disgruntled franchise owners are already gathering to protest everything from low wages to slumping sales to LeBron James pitching Happy Meals to kids.
