Los Angeles Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong said the publication would go public in the next year.
Soon-Shiong said the public offering would allow the publication “to be democratized and allow the public to have ownership of this paper.”
Soon-Shiong announced the go-public plans in an interview with Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show."
