Canadian retail operator Hudson's Bay announced Monday it may seek a sale of its Lord & Taylor department store chain.
Lord & Taylor has some 40 stores in the U.S., mostly on the East Coast. It had $1.4 billion in 2018 revenue.
Hudson's Bay officials signaled plans to invest in its better-performing businesses Saks Fifth Avenue and Hudson's Bay.
