Longtime STL bar, restaurant to close

O’Connell’s Pub, a bar and restaurant in business since 1962, is closing.

The establishment is hoping to remain open at least through St. Patrick's Day, which is on March 17, 2027.

“It’s been a tough fight, but this economy was the final straw,” O’Connell’s Pub officials said on Facebook. “Business is way down for restaurants everywhere, and we simply couldn’t afford to take this hit without a loan.”
