Longest-serving '60 Minutes' correspondent retires

The longest-serving correspondent in the history of "60 Minutes" is retiring.

"It's been a wonderful run, but the time has come to say goodbye to all of my friends at CBS and the dozens of people who kept me on the air," said Morley Safer, 84.

On Sunday, CBS will air an hour-long look at Safer's broadcasting career.

Safer joined the show in 1970, two years after it launched.
