“We started doing this long-distance. We were in Denver when we were first getting the project up and running,” says Jennifer Leonard, Head Brewer at Tie and Timber Beer Company. Leonard says they began working on the brewery before they moved to Missouri. She moved here four months earlier than partner Curtis Marshall to start brewing the pilot batches of their beer. “If I had to go back and change it, I probably would have moved out here sooner because it was a challenge to do all the logistical work of building a brewery in a another state,” says Marshall, Tail Brewer at Tie and Timber Beer Company.
