Lohmeyer-Russell Architects is the architect for the addition to and renovation of First United Methodist Church of West Plains. Mettemeyer Engineering LLC is the structural engineer and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Travis Snelling Construction Co. of Forsyth is the general contractor for the project, which has an estimated cost of $1.8 million. The new addition will bridge the existing sanctuary and the existing fellowship and classroom building, and will include a gathering and entry space and additional classrooms. Renovations will provide a new administrative suite and changes to the sanctuary pulpit. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
