The Cranberry Township, Pa.-based logistical services provider opened May 19 at 5051 S. National Ave., Ste. 7B, according to Marketing Specialist Candace Preteroti. The staff comprises Branch Manager Tiffany Whittington, Logistics Manager Vicki Cline and logistics sales and operations employee Staci Wattie.
In addition to Springfield’s centralized location, Magellan selected the city “because of the presence of transportation and manufacturing companies in the region and the pool of local talented industry professionals,” Preteroti said via e-mail.
The Springfield office joins three other Magellan locations in Cranberry Township; Raleigh, N.C.; and Jacksonville, Fla.
Magellan’s service areas include transport logistics, warehousing and supply-chain management. The company is a division of Pittsburgh-based MHF Logistical Solutions Inc., a rail-centric third-party logistics provider.
