J. Christopher Ball, AIA, and B. Todd Bolin, AIA, of Jack Ball |amp| Associates Architects PC are the project architects for 180,000-square-foot facility. The structure is designed for an initial occupancy of 850 to 900 students, with the capability of future expansion to accommodate as many as 1,200 students. Core areas the gymnasiums, bathrooms, hallways, offices and library among them have been designed to accommodate future growth so that only basic classrooms will have to be added. The main gym will seat more than 2,000 people and a second gym will seat about 450 people. The two-story building incorporates a combination of precast concrete, brick and split-face block on the facade.
