Construction is ongoing for Design Build LLC's The Patriot, a loft apartment development overlooking the square on Park Central East.
According to Design Build principal Rich Branham, systems, drywall and finish work is now beginning on the project. Design Build is its own general contractor, and subcontractors on the job include Gold Mechanical for the sprinkler system, Joe's Electric for electrical work and MS Mechanical for mechanical systems. A plumbing contractor is still being sought.
An open house for the project was slated for July 23, and the property is also being shown by appointment.
The design of the building's luxury lofts is by Steve Warlick, an intern architect at Warren Bates Jr. & Associates and principal in Design Build LLC, and intern architect Andrew York, a recent graduate of the Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University.
The building is named The Patriot for the newspaper located there around 1900.
