Local SBA office seeks small business nominations

District- and state-level awards will be announced early next year, and those winners will go on to compete for national awards, to be presented during the 2008 National Small Business Week ceremonies.

Of-the-year award categories include small business person, financial services champion, home-based business champion, minority small business champion, small business exporter, SBA young entrepreneur, small business journalist, veteran small business champion, women in business champion and family-owned small business. Awards also will be presented for disaster recovery, federal procurement and small business lending.
