The Todds and their seven-member team continue to offer real estate services under Todd Family & Friends LLC.
The Todds expect to add additional agents, but they said they’ll choose those who agree with their belief that a real estate transaction is an overall experience.
“We decided that if we were really going to live on referrals, that we had to give (clients) a good experience in everything that regards real estate,” Jim Todd said. “Our approach is to tell our clients to hold us accountable to the entire process.”
The Todds have worked with several local real estate firms, most recently Keller Williams Realty of Greater Springfield, which they left May 5 to pursue their new venture.
Todd Family and Friends closed $22 in million in sales in 2005, Jim Todd said, and the company is pushing toward $30 million in closings for its first year. For the first quarter, Todd Family and Friends closed $7.5 million.
“A lot of people have come forward and asked for instruction regarding how we accomplished that, what it is that we do,” he said. “We now have the opportunity to affect the businesses of other Realtors and maybe help them to move up to a higher service level and do a little more volume for themselves.”
For now, the Todds are operating their business from their Emerald Park home and online at www.toddfamilyandfriends.com, though they’re looking for office space to purchase.
