Sixteen manufacturers sent representatives this morning to a hiring fair seeking at least 130 employees combined.
The 9 a.m.-noon event at the Missouri Job Center, 2900 E. Sunshine St., represents a partnership between the employers, the job center and the Ozark Region Workforce Development Board, according to a news release.
The companies, by number of employees sought, are:
• 35: Dairy Farmers of America;
• 16: HydroClean;
• 15: Employment agency Kelly Services Inc. for Kraft Heinz Co. and UnderCover Inc.;
• 10: Southern Missouri Containers:
• 9: Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co.;
• 7: Crossroads Designs;
• 6: SRC Electrical;
• 5: Buckhorn Inc. and Loren Cook Co.;
• 2: Positronic Industries and Reckitt Benckiser;
• 1: ABEC Inc., EFCO and WestRock; and
• Undisclosed: Mid-Am Metal Forming Inc.
The jobs cover a variety of positions, from machine operator and maintenance technician to compliance manager and shift leader, according to data provided to Springfield Business Journal.
