Local firms shift on Inside Public Accounting's top 500 list

Local accounting firms shifted in the ranks on industry publication Inside Public Accounting's annual list of the top 500 firms.

Forvis Mazars LLP, which has a regional office based in the Queen City, is on the list with Springfield-based firms Abacus and KPM CPAs & Advisors. The list released this week by IPA ranks U.S. accounting firms by net revenues. 

With net revenue of $2.2 billion, Forvis Mazars dropped to No. 10 on the list from its No. 8 placement last year. Forvis Mazars was created through a partnership completed in summer 2024 between FORVIS LLP and Paris-based international audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars Group, according to past reporting. 

Ranking at No. 251 on the list is Abacus, with net revenue reported at $21.5 million. The company placed No. 280 last year.

KPM CPAs & Advisors placed No. 258 on this year's list, compared with its No. 254 ranking last year. The company's reported net revenue is $20.7 million.

New York-based Deloitte LLP maintained its No. 1 spot on the IPA top 500 with net revenue of over $33 billion.
