With a low bid of $364,461.58, Jour-nagan Construction of Springfield is the contractor for resurfacing work scheduled for Taney County Routes M, KK and OO in the Cedarcreek area. The Missouri Department of Transportation announced that the work is scheduled to begin April 1. Drivers on those routes can expect one-lane traffic, with flaggers and equipment in the roadway.
In the first week, work will begin to cover a three-mile length of Route OO south of Cedarcreek with an inch of new asphalt. The next week, April 8, crews are scheduled to move to Route KK northwest of Cedarcreek to lay a new one-inch asphalt surface on that roadway. Work on Route M, between Route 160 and the end of Route M south of Cedarcreek an 11-mile stretch will follow. Resurfacing of routes OO, KK and M are expected to be finished by the end of April.
After those three highways are resurfaced, the crews will go to Table Rock State Park south of Branson and re-pave several roads. Work in Table Rock State Park should be done by mid-May.
