Local firm honored for design on Nixa High School campus

Sapp Design Architects PC, was honored by American School & University magazine for its work on the design of the Nixa High School campus. |ret||ret||tab|

The Nixa High School project is one of 238 projects that was featured in the 2001 Architectural Portfolio, which was published in the November 2001 issue of the magazine, according to a news release from the publication.|ret||ret||tab|

Projects submitted for portfolio consideration were chosen by a jury of Am-erican Institute of Architects members and school administrators. Specifically, the jury considered the competing firms' solutions to the stated educational program requirements for each project. Particular characteristics considered were aesthetics, manageability, functionality, diversity and overall cost ap-propriateness. |ret||ret||tab|

2001 was the 19th year American School and University magazine held its portfolio competition, and the 2001 Architectural Portfolio is one of the lar-gest issues the magazine has published. |ret||ret||tab|
