Local Federal Protection Inc. acquires Joplin security firm

Springfield-based Federal Protection Inc. has acquired Ultra Systems of Joplin, according to a news release from Kim Hancock, president and chief executive officer of Federal Protection Inc.

"It's wonderful to acquire a company with the same philosophy as Federal. Over the last 33 years, we have built our reputation around our corporate philosophy, which is to under promise and over perform,'" Hancock said. "There are a few locally-owned businesses out there that perform at this level of customer service."

Hancock added that Chris Farris, president of Ultra Systems, will continue to work with Federal Protection Inc. in the Joplin market.

"With this addition, we will increase our market share and provide Joplin customers with additional services such as access to our central communications center in Springfield," Hancock said. "In addition to more localized monitoring of systems, customers will have access to our staff of over 75 security professionals. Our goal is to expand even further with additional acquisitions in Joplin."
