Show Me Christian County Executive Director Andrea Sitzes was chosen for a statewide advisory committee organized by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The DED also is working with PriceWaterHouseCoopers on the initiative to make Missouri an "economic powerhouse," according to Gov. Eric Greitens.
The initiative is known as Best in the Midwest. It focuses on helping businesses expand and create jobs, as well as training workers.
Sitzes is among more than 70 public- and private-sector economic development officials selected to help with the plans.
“I’m kind of the rookie, having not been in the industry for that long,” Sitzes told the Christian County Headliner News. “I’m just grateful.”
