Local charities benefit from Ozarks Open
The Buy.Com Ozarks Open has established a strong tradition of helping children in the Ozarks. Since its inception in 1990, the Buy.Com Tour has given more than $2 million to local charities, with $537,500 being raised during last year's tournament.
Money raised during this year's tournament will be divided among 13 local charities, including the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks, which has been a beneficiary for the past 12 years. Other local charities benefiting from this year's tournament are the Boys & Girls Club of Springfield, Southwest Area Special Olympics, A Sporting Chance, Youth Life, Camp Barnabas, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Big Brother Big Sisters of the Ozarks, Children's Miracle Network, Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation the Webster Electric Foundation, the Regional Girls Shelter and the Ozarks Medical Center Foundation.
