Among the international issues discussed at the conference were the development of the world's first comprehensive international real property exchange over the Internet in the form of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations. |ret||ret||tab|

The consortium will link the leading national real estate associations in the world's major markets.|ret||ret||tab|

In addition, a number of real estate associations from various nations executed new bilateral agreements with the National Association of Realtors, including Greece, Guatemala and El Salvador.|ret||ret||tab|

Other issues discussed at the conference included an update on various environmental policies, including proposals to encourage local government support for the cleanup of brownfields via tax, and discussion of key policies regarding possible future legislation concerning such issues as Internet privacy.|ret||ret||tab|
