Springfield businessman Doug Pitt has formed a partnership with TSI Global, allowing the technology company to open its first office outside of the St. Louis area.
In November, ServiceWorld Computer Center LLC co-owner Pitt and TSI President Robert Bray partnered to open TSI Integrated Services within ServiceWorld's 1409 W. Sunshine St. office, Pitt said.
Pitt and Bray are co-owners of TSI Integrated Services, which operates in leased space out of the building owned by Pitt. The company employs eight, including Pitt, Bray and workers commuting from St. Louis.
Pitt said ServiceWorld and TSI Integrated Systems together offer a bevy of computer-related services.
"It's really just a good complement; I'm excited for the growth of both companies," Pitt said, noting he was approached by TSI to form the partnership after the company targeted a need for a Springfield presence.
The 120-employee St. Louis company specializes in fiber-optic cabling, audio/video, voice and data security services, and has performed large installations including the stadiums of the St. Louis Cardinals, the New York Mets and the Minnesota Twins, Pitt said. He noted the 18-employee ServiceWorld staff performs local area network, wide area network and wireless services.
Pitt said ServiceWorld and TSI Integrated Systems are operating as separate entities, but a merger could be a possibility down the road.
"I would never say never," Pitt said. "With mixed ownerships, you never know what the future will hold, but this is a first step to us being able to offer just about every single technical service under one roof."
