The volunteers are helping 23 agencies on 143 projects, according to a news release. That represents approximately 12,000 hours and $214,000 in donated labor.

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield is one such agency receiving help today. About 85 volunteers from Greene County Resource Management; the office of Davis, Lynn & Moots; JCPenney; Consumer Credit Counseling and Kraft are helping with home-building and landscaping at Habitat’s Legacy Trails subdivision, 3800 N. In another part of town, Penmac Personnel Services, Town & County, PJC Insurance, ANPAC, Community Partnership of the Ozarks and United Way volunteers are helping at Suit Yourself, 445 S. Patton Ave., a boutique offering complimentary new and used professional clothes for women entering the work force.[[In-content Ad]]
