Local business owner donates $20,000 to charities

Posted online
While being honored today for her company’s philanthropic efforts, Patti Penny, owner of Penmac Personnel, will hand out more than $20,000 indirectly to more than 200 charities.

Penny is donating $100 to each of the more than 200 attendees of today’s National Philanthropic Day Awards Luncheon at Highland Springs Country Club, on the condition that they donate the money to their choice of charities.

Penny will make the announcement while accepting the honor for Outstanding Corporation of the Year on Penmac’s behalf from the Ozarks Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Penmac was nominated by Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.

“The journey of Penmac’s success has been much like the impossible dream,” Penny said in a news release. “My hope is that this small gesture can assist in making someone else’s dream possible.”

Penny is asking that each recipient let her know how they will donate the money and hopes to highlight a few at next year’s luncheon.[[In-content Ad]]
