Radio host Liz Delany has exited her employment with Zimmer Communications, the Columbia company that brought her show with Kevin Howard back to the airwaves last year.
In a public Facebook post, Delany alleged she "was put in a position by a superior where I felt bullied and intimidated."
"Even after telling them I was struggling with my mental health, they showed no compassion," she said in the Oct. 23 post. "I felt like I had no other choice.
"I love this community, and it has been an absolute privilege to serve you these last 23 years."
The Facebook page for the show has now been changed to "Kevin in the Morning on 98.7 The Dove." The radio station's website also has been switched to the new branding.
Howard could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Tom Ladd, Springfield operations manager for Zimmer Communications, provided a statement.
"Liz Delany has decided to leave Zimmer Communications. Kevin will remain on 98.7 The Dove in morning drive as we explore opportunities of how to best serve our listeners, advertisers and the Springfield community," the statement reads. "We wish Liz all the best in her next endeavor."
Prior to working at Zimmer Communications, Delany and Howard were co-hosts of the morning show at 105.9 KGBX FM. They were among employees laid off last year by San Antonio, Texas-based iHeartMedia Inc. (Nasdaq: IHRT), according to past reporting.
The show returned when Zimmer Communications purchased Springfield-based Meyer Communications and launched The Dove soft rock station.
Thai Garden LLC launched; Norman, Oklahoma-based Traffic Engineering Consultants Inc. opened a Springfield office; and mobile app Ozarks Connect got its start.
