Live-action 'Archie' comics series coming to The CW

"Riverdale," a live-action series based on the long-time "Archie" comic book, is headed to The CW.

Archie, who will be played by K.J. Apa, first deputed as a character in 1941.

The CW did not say when the show would debut or how many episodes there would be.
