Little Rock attorney seeks to make alcohol sales legal in all of Ark.

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge has given approval to the wording of a proposed constitutional amendment to make all counties in Arkansas wet — the same proposal that failed in the November general election.

The Little Rock attorney behind the proposed amendment, David Couch, can now begin collecting signatures to put the amendment on the 2016 ballot, according to Arkansas Business.

Couch told Arkansas Business that the amendment is identical to the one that failed in November, other than the effective date, which would be July 1, 2017.
