Lina Khan, prominent Big Tech critic, will lead the FTC

Lina Khan was announced Tuesday by President Joe Biden to lead as chairperson of the Federal Trade Commission.

Khan, who also is an associate professor at Columbia Law School, was named to one of the most powerful regulatory positions in Washington shortly after the Senate confirmed her as an FTC commissioner by a 69-28 vote.

A noted critic of Big Tech, Khan in recent months helped write a nearly 450-page report for House Democrats that made the case for paring back the power of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google.
