Lilly Pulitzer's flower power overwhelms Target

Posted online
Lilly Pulitzer's iconic Palm Beach-influenced maxi-dresses have created a large amount of buzz for Target, as well spurred a barrage of complaints from frustrated customers clamoring to get their hands on the retailer's new fashion line.

After going on sale Sunday, the collection of dresses and floral-covered clothing from the iconic designer sold out at many stores within minutes. A surge of online shopppers also caused Target's website to slow down and even become inaccessible, according to CBS News.

This left some shoppers upset, who felt there should have been a limit on how much product one person could purchase.

However, investors were pleased and sent Target's shares up as much as 1.4 percent in early trading Monday.
