Library names four director finalists

The finalists are:

• Regina Greer Cooper of Huntsville-Madison County Public Library in Alabama;

• Virginia Ann Hammond of Alameda County Library in California;

• Karen L. Hicklin of Trails Regional Library for Johnson and Lafayette counties in Missouri; and

• Robert W. Pasicznyuk of Douglas County Libraries in Colorado.

Receptions for the public to meet the candidates are scheduled 8–9 a.m. Sept. 19 at The Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave., and 8–9 a.m. Sept. 20 at Brentwood Branch Library, 2214 Brentwood Blvd.

The library’s board of trustees will name the next executive director this fall.

Busch, who’s been executive director for 18 years, is slated to retire in January 2009.
