The Springfield-Greene County Library District and Friends of the Library are bringing author and comedian David Sedaris to Springfield in 2020.
Sedaris is scheduled to read from new and unpublished materials, as well as take questions, during the May 1 event at the Gillioz Theatre. Tickets are free.
Sedaris previously described Springfield as "the most depressing city in the United States" in his book, "Theft by Finding." He traveled from the airport to a hotel in 2000.
