Springfield-based Liberty Bank’s new headquarters on South National are scheduled for October completion, which will coincide with the bank’s 10-year anniversary. Wirt Construction is the general contractor for the approximately $5.5 million, 48,000-square-foot bank, which will have a separate 650-square-foot building for six drive-through lanes. Tim Flavin, president of Wirt Construction, is project manager for Liberty Bank. Butler, Rosenbury & Partners is the architect and structural engineer, and Malone, Finkle, Eckhardt & Collins is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. The three-story banking facility will have a lobby with a water feature on the first floor. The second floor will have offices and a boardroom, and the third floor, for now, is vacant. The structural-steel-framed building will have an exterior of brick with cast stone.
