A gaming, toy and pop culture store that opened in 2022 has closed its storefront amid its transition to an online business.
Leveled Up Loot LLC, located at 2744 S. Campbell Ave. in the Village Shopping Center, announced the decision in a Feb. 10 post on Facebook.
"Change is a big part of the world we live in, and the time has come when we must make a change," the post reads. "Leveled Up Loot will be closing the store and becoming an online auction company. We will run under the same name, we are not changing ownership and we are staying at our current location."
Leveled Up Loot officials said in a comment on the post that Feb. 9 was the brick-and-mortar store's last day in operation.
The company plans to list at least two auctions per month, according to the post.
Christopher and Amanda Smith opened Leveled Up Loot in 1,600 square feet in August 2022, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
