Letter to the Editor: Silent majority will sound come election time

Posted online
Dear Editor,

I'm sorry! I seem to owe those people on the political far left an apology. I have been so blinded in my thinking that I simply haven't seen the big picture until now. Our president, whom we know nothing about, and his 44 czars who now run the United States without the interference of our elected Congress surely have our best interests at heart. How foolish of me to think otherwise.

Soon the illegal immigration problem will be solved. After our U.S. economy has imploded and been completely destroyed as a result of our national debt, no one will want to come here from any country when the U.S. becomes a Third World economic system.

The health care problem will be solved, too. If we fail to pay our doctors what they deserve, they won't be available when we need them to charge us their high fees. We can just go to China-mart (Walmart) for our health care needs.

Don't worry about fuel prices. Having no job means we don't drive to work. Hopefully, we can buy fuel for our garden tractors to grow our own food, since food will not be available at the grocery store. Those farm families who have kept America strong through the years will no longer pay real estate taxes for roads and schools. It is a very sad day for America when our farmers can no longer afford to farm their land.

I'm sure cap-and-trade will save the Arctic ice cap. A brief computer search shows Antarctica is growing in size, not melting, but that fact is lost in the discussion. Global warming is a natural cycle and more than 30,000 scientists openly declare that the greenhouse gas crisis is a fraud. Even Al Gore stated: "Global governance is coming with the carbon tax." But, hey, it's all for green, so let's get 'er done!

We are beyond Democrat/Republican politics, where we could debate and find common ground. I do not apologize for being a Holy Bible-believing Christian, right-wing, gun-owning American citizen, whom Homeland Security has labeled a "terrorist."

My government works for me; it is not the other way around. You will not find me at town hall meetings screaming to be heard. I'm one of a strong, silent multitude who will no longer bow to loud minority opinion or the Saudi king. We will wait, and we will most certainly vote as all free Americans can. This quiet majority of Democrats, Republicans and independents will stand united to protect that right to vote. Elected officials who have been overcome by greed and no longer have the guts to stand for what is right, legal and constitutional, should be very afraid come election time. This quiet majority will fire you!

I really don't apologize because I am not intimidated by our elected government or by those who hate our country. They should thank the God of the Bible that they still have that right to dissent!
